In-house consultant EDI / OCI

Seeking an experienced EDI / OCI Consultant who will be responsible for managing electronic data exchange with customers and suppliers. The role involves configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting EDI and punchOut solutions within the ERP system. This position is part of a multinational IT team within a diverse and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Act as the primary contact for customers, suppliers, and internal teams on EDI and punchOut solutions.
2. Oversee the connection and configuration of EDI processes within the ERP system.
3. Manage the EDI platform, including workflows, certificate management, and system monitoring (databases, virtual instances).
4. Analyse and resolve errors in EDI data transfer and punchOut processes.
5. Support integration with new and existing e-procurement systems.

Requirements

1. Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or completed IT specialist training.
2. At least 5 years of experience working with EDI systems.
3. Strong knowledge of EDI formats (e.g., EDIFACT, XML) and EDI protocols (AS2, SFTP, POP3).
4. Experience in format mapping for structured and unstructured data.
5. Basic programming knowledge is an advantage.
6. Structured, service-oriented approach to work.
7. Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
