Manager International Tax
Location: Stuttgart
Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Manager International Tax to serve as the primary liaison between the corporate tax function and the trading division of a large, multinational organisation. This role is key to supporting international trading operations with expert tax guidance and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tax advisory services for trading operations across domestic and international contexts, focusing on income tax, financial reporting, and tax accounting.
- Oversee tax matters for foreign trading subsidiaries, coordinate with local advisors, and maintain regular communication to monitor developments and ensure alignment.
- Act as the go-to tax expert for internal departments including accounting, controlling, and legal, and support cross-functional areas such as compliance, transfer pricing, country-by-country reporting (CbCR), and Pillar 2 requirements.
- Review and assess trading contracts and new product initiatives from a tax perspective.
- Compile and assess tax-relevant facts, draft documentation, and develop strategic recommendations for decision-making.
Requirements:
- Degree in business administration, economics, or a related field with a concentration in tax; completion of the German Tax Advisor Exam is required, with additional credentials in international tax law considered a plus.
- Several years of hands-on experience in tax consulting, auditing, or in-house tax departments, ideally with exposure to international trading or multinational operations.
- Ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly to non-specialist audiences.
- Proficient in both English and German.
- Comfortable with IT systems and digital tools relevant to tax and finance.
