Senior Internal Auditor in Mannheim

This role offers broad audit work across an international group’s global operations, with a particular focus on ERP-based processes and data-driven auditing.

Internal Audit is highly visible to senior management and acts as a talent pipeline for the group. Strong performers are well placed to move into wider roles, in Germany or internationally.

The role:

• Lead audits from planning and fieldwork through to reporting, covering both scheduled reviews and special assignments at business units worldwide.
• Examine the group’s control environment, including compliance, risk and information security, and assess how safely and efficiently processes run across the full value chain.
• Check that end-to-end processes are captured accurately in IT systems, and help shape how the team audits ERP-driven workflows.
• Identify material process and organisational risks, and turn them into practical recommendations the business can act on.
• Build relationships with business unit leaders internationally, lead opening and closing meetings, and present results to management, acting as a trusted sounding board throughout.

What you’ll need:

• A background in economics, followed by around three to seven years in audit, ideally including Big Four experience.
• Confidence working with ERP systems and using data analytics tools to unpick complex processes.
• The ability to turn complicated findings into clear, accessible messages.
• A self-assured, outgoing manner and the presence to hold your own with senior leadership and corporate functions.
