The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) Manager to join a growing Cyber Security consulting practice in Germany.

This is not a purely technical DLP implementation role.

The position is focused on strategy, governance, compliance and client advisory, helping major organisations understand how sensitive information should be identified, classified, governed and protected.

You will work directly with senior Cyber Security, Information Security, Risk and business stakeholders to develop DLP strategies and turn them into practical, sustainable programmes.

Your Responsibilities

• Advise major clients on Data Leakage / Data Loss Prevention strategy
• Develop and improve DLP governance frameworks, policies and operating models
• Create strategic DLP roadmaps aligned with wider Cyber and Information Security objectives
• Assess existing DLP environments and identify governance, process and compliance gaps
• Advise clients on data classification, information protection and data security
• Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into practical security controls
• Lead workshops with senior client stakeholders across Security, IT, Risk, Compliance and the wider business
• Support the selection and strategic implementation of DLP and information protection solutions
• Define roles, responsibilities, processes and ownership around DLP
• Manage client engagements and support the development of junior consultants
• Contribute to proposals, business development and the continued growth of the Cyber Security practice

Your Profile

You should bring experience within Cyber Security, Information Security, Data Security or Information Protection, ideally gained within a consulting or advisory environment.

Strong knowledge of areas such as:

Data Classification & Information Protection

Cyber Security Governance

Information Security

Security Policies & Frameworks

Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Information Protection, Symantec, Forcepoint, Zscaler or similar DLP solutions is beneficial.

However, you do not need to be a deeply technical engineer. The key requirement is being able to understand the technology and translate it into strategy, governance, processes and business requirements.

You should also be comfortable leading client conversations and presenting complex Cyber Security topics to senior stakeholders.
