The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly renovated event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.About the jobBased at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Finance Department in Zurich, the Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the hotel's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The Assistant Director of Finance reports to the Director of Finance.As Assistant Director of Finance you will beresponsiblefor the following tasks:Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations during month-end closingEnsuring that local legislation and procedures are followedResponsible for following and understanding all MOHG and Hotel Policies & ProceduresAssisting the Director of Finance with forecasting and budgetingPerforming any controller tasks during the absence of Director of FinanceSupporting department heads with making relevant and accurate decisions on financial mattersAs Assistant Director of Finance, weexpectfrom you:Ability to handle high volume with attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAn ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with hotel staff and clients/vendorsExcellent organizational and time management skillsApplies a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all timesAnalytical thinkerFlexible and reliableResponsible for understanding and having a working knowledge of all areas in accounting and being able to assist or cover a position if neededVery good knowledge of German and English.
