About The Role As
Assistant Director of Finance
at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, you will be an integral member of the Finance team and report directly to the
Director of Finance . You will play a key role in supporting the financial strategy, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial operations, and contributing to the hotel’s continued success and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Director of Finance in managing, developing, and implementing financial controls and accounting procedures in line with Group standards and Swiss regulations.
Assist in the analysis and preparation of financial reports to identify opportunities to enhance profitability.
Supervise and support the Accounting team to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes.
Co‑manage the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, forecasts, and analyses in accordance with MOHG standards.
Monitor revenues and expenditures, ensuring accurate postings and timely reconciliations.
Oversee the implementation and monitoring of internal control mechanisms (procurement, cash handling, payroll, inventories).
Contribute to budgeting, capital planning, and forecasting through detailed analysis and KPI reporting.
Manage intercompany accounting across entities and perform balance sheet reconciliation for both properties.
Monthly and yearly preparation of IFRS standard reporting.
Experience in owned hotel operations with a focus on below‑GOP financial performance.
Knowledge of CapEx and investment accounting processes.
What We Are Looking For
Solid professional experience in Finance, ideally within the luxury hospitality sector.
Excellent organizational skills and a structured, analytical approach to work.
In‑depth understanding of financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, forecasts).
Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with hotel systems such as SUN, Hyperion, and Workday (People+) is an asset.
