With 181 rooms and suites, exceptional restaurants, and a passionate team of professionals, the hotel embodies our mission to transform the ordinary into the exceptional every single day. /p h3About The Job /h3 pBased at bMandarin Oriental, Geneva /b, within the Banquet Department, the bAssistant Maître d’Hôtel /b is responsible for banquet service operations. /p pIn this role, he or she assists the Banquet Operations Manager on the floor. /p h3As bAssistant Maître d’Hôtel /b /h3 pyou will be responsible for: /p ulliVerify that setup work complies with the event’s specifications /liliGreet guests with a smile and manage the coat check /liliRecruit temporary staff based on staffing needs and ensure they are properly supervised for each event /liliVerify the menus (spelling, descriptions, dates, wines, etc.) /liliMonitor and oversee service before and throughout the duration of the banquet /liliBe familiar with the products being servedServe guests in accordance with the hospitality standards of a 5-star hotel, while meeting the expectations of the Mandarin Oriental Group and Swiss Deluxe /liliHandle guest complaints according to the LQE procedure and refer complaints, as well as all guest feedback, to management. /li /ul h3As bAssistant Maître d’Hôtel /b we expect from you /h3 ulliA passion for service and attention to detail. /liliPrevious service experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred. /liliTeam spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow. /liliGood communication skills and a flexible attitude. /liliFluency in English and French, another European language is a plus. /liliA valid Swiss work permit or EU passport. /li /ul h3Our Commitment to You /h3 ulliLearning Development – Your success is our success.
