About the Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, within theOttolenghi Department, theAssistantRestaurant Manager is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in the management of the restaurant, ensuring the smooth running of the service and customer satisfaction for all services provided, in accordance with quality standards, HACCP hygiene standards, and procedures in force within the hotel, and supervising a team of around twenty employees.

AsAssistantRestaurant Manager , you willbe responsible for:

• Participate in the development of schedules based on planned activity.
• Have the necessary knowledge and skills of the Infrasis POS, be able to train/assist servers in the use of the system and apply the necessary controls.
• Assistsubordinates in service.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by visiting them during their meal.
• Forward customer comments on food and service to the Restaurant Manager and Chef Ottolenghi
• Respond to specific customer requests as necessary
• Handle customer complaints and comments
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills (interpersonal skills) to build customer loyalty
• Adhere to and apply the Mandarin Oriental principles set out in ‘Our Commitments’

AsAssistantRestaurant Manager we expect from you:

• A passion forserviceand attention to detail.
• Previousmanagement and serviceexperience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred.
• Team spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow.
• Good communicationskills and a flexible attitude.
• Fluency in English and French, another European language is a plus.
• A valid Swiss work permit or EU passport.
