We are looking for a Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich.
Job Overview The Restaurant Supervisor will oversee the restaurant team, ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, and compliance with hotel policies. The role reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager and Restaurant Manager.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the restaurant team, ensuring efficient, guest‑oriented workflows in cooperation with all departments of the hotel.
Provide feedback and train team members.
Offer professional advice and customer care to guests and serve food and drinks.
Create strong product and sales knowledge.
Ensure compliance with service standards, hygiene regulations, and HACCP guidelines.
Communicate current offers within the department and throughout the hotel.
Handle accurate accounting of the area.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
Vocational training in restaurant or hotel management.
At least 2 years of professional experience with leadership responsibilities.
Organizational and leadership skills with ability to manage a culturally diverse team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, handling guest feedback and complaints.
Strong service orientation, etiquette, and professional appearance.
Expressive, open‑minded, and team‑oriented approach.
Good IT skills; familiarity with Infrasys cash register and SevenRooms booking system advantageous.
Ability to work under pressure, flexible for weekend and holiday shifts.
Excellent German and English; additional foreign language skills a plus.
Right to work in Switzerland.
