This role focuses on leadership in proactively developing and winning new business for Manhattan Associates, primarily in Germany. It is a stand-alone role responsible for the development and execution of Manhattan’s sales plan, selling into Germany’s largest retail, wholesale and industry accounts with WMS/TMS/OMS solutions. Our solutions are cloud-native, extensible and uniquely positioned in the Gartner Magic Quadrant and Forrester Wave, deployed by leading German companies in their home market and globally.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle including opportunity qualification, coordination and management of resources, contract negotiation and sales closure.
  • Drive the development and execution of the sales plan, with appropriate market development and account sales strategies.
  • Manage a territory primarily in Germany, with potential assignments to accounts outside Germany.
  • Collaborate with local expert teams (solution consultants and professional services) to sell as a team and deliver value.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders within prospective organizations.
  • Develop deep knowledge of potential prospects’ businesses (economic drivers, opportunities and priorities) to articulate Manhattan’s value proposition.
  • Understand competitor offerings and position Manhattan products to differentiate.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless post-sales handover and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in German and English (ideally).
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, computer science, mathematics or equivalent through work experience.
  • Experience working with WMS; Omni Channel or TMS Cloud/SaaS sales experience preferred.
  • Experience selling complex supply chain solutions.
