Role Overview
As a Manager Business Development, you will manage strategic sales initiatives for the European IAM and lead a team that develops and implements measures contributing to positive business development through existing and new sales channels. You will report to our Senior Vice President Automotive Aftermarket Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities across Europe to close M+H\’s market share gaps.
- Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess market potential and develop go-to-market strategies for new products or services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define sales targets, market penetration strategies, and expansion plans.
- Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, utilizing progress makers, and oversee execution and reporting of these initiatives.
- Address execution gaps within strategic initiatives and align corrective measures.
- Manage and develop the Business Development Management team to support sales targets effectively.
- Coordinate and prioritize team tasks, work, and resource planning.
- Develop and implement measures to enhance business development via existing and new sales channels in the European IAM.
- Ensure and improve the competitiveness of our product portfolio in collaboration with internal functions.
- Monitor sales channel and segment business development.
- Derive and execute activities to accelerate growth.
- Participate in strategy development within the IAM Europe business area.
Your Profile
- Education: Completed studies in business administration or a comparable field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a global environment.
- Expertise: Relevant experience in sales/marketing within IAM; first professional leadership experience is desirable.
- Language Skills: Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Personality: Results-oriented with strong analytical and strategic planning skills. Highly motivated, dynamic, with a positive \’can-do\‘ attitude. Able to work independently and within a team on complex topics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the gravitas to engage multiple stakeholders. Demonstrates personal integrity and confidence. Willing to travel up to 30%.
