Director Global Transportation Management (m/f/d) in Stuttgart

Overview

In this role you will define and lead the global end-to-end transportation strategy and establish standardized frameworks across regions and sites. You will drive cost-efficient and compliant transport operations and serve as the global authority linking OPS, regional teams, Procurement, and Service Center. You’ll implement a centralized Transportation Management Center and push for standardized contracts, tendering, and vendor governance. This position offers visibility into shaping a scalable, best-practice transportation model across the organization.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Define and govern the global Transportation Management strategy and the One Template framework across regions and sites
• Develop and maintain global standards for transportation service provider management including MBRs and QBRs
• Standardize contracts, freight rate structures, and service definitions with Procurement
• Define and implement standardized tendering processes and lead global/regional tenders
• Establish and operate a Global Transportation Management Center with the Service Center
• Drive the reduction and consolidation of fragmented 4PL solutions into a unified operating model
• Foster cross-functional and cross-regional alignment and exchange best practices
• Define, monitor, and govern transportation KPIs with standardized reporting structures
