Operational Project Lead (F/M)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple manufacturing projects, including NPIs, process improvements, and equipment installations.

• Coordinate with Tier 1 suppliers across the EU to ensure readiness, capacity, and quality compliance.

• Integrate suppliers early in the project lifecycle (design, feasibility, APQP) to ensure alignment with OEM requirements.

• Conduct supplier audits, readiness assessments, and performance reviews.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to Tier 1 supplier performance, logistics, and compliance.

• Develop and maintain supplier risk registers and contingency plans.

• Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and quality teams to resolve supplier-related issues.

• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and EU regulatory standards.

• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support digital transformation efforts including MES, automation, and Industry 4.0.

• Report project status, risks, and KPIs to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) and/or Lean Six Sigma certification.

• Experience in supplier development, strategic sourcing, or risk management within the EU Tier 1 landscape.

• Multilingual capabilities (e.g., German, French, Czech, Polish) are a plus.

• Proven experience managing multiple projects in automotive manufacturing with Tier 1 supplier involvement.

• Strong understanding of EU supplier networks, logistics, and compliance requirements.

• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and other automotive quality tools.

• Proficiency in project management and risk management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, RiskWatch).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including cross-cultural collaboration.
