Oliver Wyman’s Transportation & Advanced Industrials Practice (TAI) serves clients in a wide range of sectors around the globe, from companies that transport people and goods to those that build and service the required equipment and other industrial products.

Our main sectors are:

Aerospace & Defence

We represent Aerospace & Defense OEMs and supply base, MRO providers and supplier networks, and defense ministries and service branches.

Automotive

We support leading automotive and commercial vehicle OEMs, automotive suppliers and companies such as mobility providers and aftermarket players

Aviation

We represent passenger and cargo carriers, airports, service providers, MRO providers and supplier networks, governments, investors, and distribution..

Industrial Goods

We support leading manufacturing companies along their entire value chains, including production systems, machine tools, and plant engineering.

ENGAGEMENT MANAGERS are the on-scene leaders who run our projects day to day. You will lead the team through an efficient and effective problem-solving process from initial thought process through convergence on a solution. You will ensure that recommendations are correct, practical, sensible, relevant and cohesive. It’s a role that demands thought leadership at the strategic level – and command of all the technical and operational details of execution. You will need great communication skills and the ability to forge strong relationships.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Just as every client project is different, so we recognize and value the diversity of backgrounds and skillsets for successful candidates. We are seeking high-caliber individuals who want to join our winning team. Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization)

  • In-depth knowledge of TAI sectors

  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills and ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses to identify trends, draw conclusions and present recommendations

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings

  • Fluency in English and German language is required

  • An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program

  • Willingness to travel

  • Know how to take the initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and put the ones you’ve already got to good use

  • Not just intelligence, but creativity too: you’ll be ready to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients’ biggest problems

  • Have an aptitude for analytical work, like sniffing out clues in massive data sets or hunting down the key issues in a hugely complex challenge

  • A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team
