Senior RD Project Manager mfd

To support their next phase of growth, they\’re looking for a (Senior) R&D Project Manager (m / f / d) who thrives at the intersection of science, technology, and innovation. If you love translating complex ideas into actionable plans, keeping diverse teams aligned, and driving innovation from concept to reality, this might be your next move.

Tasks

1. Lead cross-functional R&D projects spanning devices, software, and assays.
2. Collaborate with internal experts and external partners to develop new technologies.
3. Manage timelines, coordinate resources, and ensure project milestones are met.
4. Bring structure and clarity to fast-paced, often ambiguous environments.
5. Facilitate collaboration across teams, navigate risks, and ensure quality and compliance.
6. Prepare project documentation and support the transition from development to manufacturing.

Requirements

1. Strong background in a scientific or technical field, ideally with a Master’s or PhD.
2. 25+ years of experience managing R&D projects, preferably in life science tools, diagnostics, or medtech.
3. Familiarity with bioimaging or biomedical devices and a solid understanding of project management methods.
4. Certifications like PMP or experience with Agile/Lean are a plus.
5. Hands-on, communicative, solution-oriented, with the ability to balance big picture and day-to-day details.
