Freelance Graphic Designer (English/German) (f/m/d) - Project-Based - Berlin or Remote

To strengthen our creative team for a short-term, high-impact public communication project, we are looking for a freelance graphic designer to support the visual development of a stand for the EFRE Thüringen project “Gotha Transdigital” at the upcoming Europa-Fest on 5 May 2025 .

This is a compact design project with creative freedom , ideally suited to freelancers with strong conceptual skills and a keen sense for public-facing visuals. The stand will be small (approx. 3x3m) and we are looking to design a few eye-catching print assets , such as posters or banners , that present the project in an innovative and engaging way.

Project Scope:

• Ideation and conceptual development of a visual setup for a small information stand
• Creative translation of an initial idea: a central QR code from which project-related imagery “emerges” in a mix of illustrations and real photographs
• Consultation on format, sizing, and placement (e.g., posters, banners, table visuals)
• Design and delivery of final print-ready files before 2 May 2025
• Flexible and collaborative communication with the internal project lead

Your Profile:

• Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Ability to develop concepts from minimal input and bring strong visual storytelling to public settings
• Reliable, deadline-driven and responsive to feedback
• Fluent in English and German
• Experience with poster/banner design or public installations is a strong asset
