Who You\’ll Work With

You will be based in one of our European offices as part of our Operations Practice.

The Operations Practice assists clients in solving complex operational challenges by blending strategic thinking with practical implementation. Our teams of consultants develop and execute operational strategies to address critical problems.

McKinsey’s Product Development service line focuses on helping clients create products that meet market needs, generate attractive margins, serve as platforms for additional offerings, and enhance brand reputation for future growth. Our work includes developing and implementing strategies to improve innovation and business performance.

Your Impact

• Engage actively in client problem solving: identifying issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analyses, and synthesizing insights into recommendations.
• Design new product development processes based on lean R&D principles.
• Collaborate with clients to implement recommended process improvements.
• Develop new skills and leverage your strengths through training, coaching, and mentorship from colleagues and leaders.

Your Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree and outstanding academic record.
• Broad experience in product development, such as product optimization, R&D project leadership, or technical supplier management.
• Proven leadership in professional or extracurricular activities.
• Willingness and enthusiasm for European assignments during the workweek.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills in English and the local language, both verbal and written.
