We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, robust, and efficient backend systems.
You will join a talented development team, working to improve and scale the business through the delivery of high value, high quality software.
As a Backend Developer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side logic, database management, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend.
You will contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle, writing clean and efficient code to design and develop robust, scalable and secure features.
The candidate will be responsible for managing the following activities:
- design, develop, test and maintain backend code to support new and existing features;
- design, develop, test and maintain software to support production;
- maintain and improve code quality;
- collaborate with other developers, team leads and stakeholders to ensure that we’re always building the right solution;
- stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them as necessary.
Hard Skills:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or related field;
- skilled with Linux OS;
- knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git;
- experience with MySQL database management systems;
- experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker);
- familiarity with RESTful APIs;
- PLUS: knowledge of LaTeX and messaging and streaming broker (RabbitMQ);
- fluent spoken and written English and Italian languages.
Soft Skills:
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- problem-solving mindset and proactive approach;
- passion for writing great, simple, clean and efficient code;
- awareness of the importance of teamwork.
