We’re seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to step in during a colleague’s maternity leave (01.02.2025 – 30.11.2025). In this role, you’ll handle full-cycle accounting for one of our entities, including financial closings, and bring your expertise in VAT accounting for Germany and Switzerland. This is what you can move
- Responsible for month-, quarter- and year-end closing as per SWISS GAAP FER
- Own and execute several processes such as operational excellence, accruals, lease/rental accounting, fixed assets, intercompany recharges as well as income tax provisions
- Ensure practices are compliant with good internal controls and assist with relevant compliance activities and research
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams in terms of process improvement projects
- Manage tax compliance including tax reporting as well as coordinate potential tax audits
What you bring along
- Relevant degree in Finance or Business Administration
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an international organization, with very good business understanding
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- In-depth knowledge of VAT accounting for Germany and Switzerland
- Fluency in English; other languages are an asset
- Available to start in February 2025 and to work on a temporary contract
