Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to plan, operate and further develop our core and backbone environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, operate and optimize backbone and data‑center networks.
• Administer and maintain our autonomous system (AS), including BGP‑peering and transit connections.
• Configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS).
• Manage network equipment from Juniper, Arista and Dell.
• Analyze and resolve network incidents (2nd/3rd level support).
• Participate in topology and security concept development.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Take part in on‑call duty.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training or university degree in IT (e.g., System Integration, Computer Science).
• Several years of experience in service‑provider or data‑center networking.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and autonomous systems.
• Solid experience with Juniper, Arista, and Dell hardware.
• Proficient with IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, Spanning Tree, LACP, EVPN/VXLAN.
• Structured and independent work style.
• Team spirit and good communication skills.
• Fluent German, good English.
• Residence in the Rhine‑Main area or willingness for occasional on‑site work.
