Job Description

The Radiology Lead (Diagnostic) reports to the Radiology Manager. Under limited supervision, the Radiology Lead (Diagnostic) coordinates the clinical operations to include equipment, personnel, scheduling, financial and customer service functions of a specific modality and in some cases on a secondary basis, other imaging modalities for the MUHA Radiology Department at all facilities. This role operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of the body for diagnostic purposes. Other duties as deemed necessary.

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology and five years of work experience within the specific work area; prior supervisory experience preferred. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR /AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology Work Experience: 7-6 years Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
