Nurse - Hospital Environment
Client Description
Medicalis Neuchâtel
is an agency specialised in the recruitment and placement of health and social sector professionals. We support care institutions as well as candidates for temporary assignments, permanent recruitments, and tailored HR solutions. Our expertise covers all health and social professions. The
Neuchâtel Hospital Network (RHNe)
is the public reference hospital of the canton of Neuchâtel. Spread across several sites in the canton, it offers a wide range of care in many medical fields and supports numerous patients each year thanks to committed multidisciplinary teams.
Job Description
Within the framework of last-minute assignments at the Neuchâtel Hospital Network, you will intervene quickly as a state-certified nurse to ensure optimal patient care in various departments across the canton of Neuchâtel. Depending on the needs of the institution and your experience, you may be required to work in medicine, surgery, emergency, continuous care, geriatrics, rehabilitation, psychiatry, maternity, or other specialised units. You will care for patients presenting varied, sometimes complex clinical situations, adapting your practice to the specificities of each department. Your main responsibilities include:
Welcoming, initial assessment, and clinical monitoring of patients while respecting care priorities. Performing prescribed and autonomous nursing care rigorously, strictly applying current protocols, procedures, and hygiene rules. Administering treatments, preparing and checking necessary equipment, and ensuring proper traceability of performed acts. Observing patients’ health status evolution, detecting warning signs, and promptly communicating relevant information to the medical team. Participating in care coordination with doctors, nursing assistants, ASSC, and all professionals involved in the patient’s pathway. Contributing to the organisation of the service according to priorities, activity flows, and last-minute replacement requirements. Ensuring safe, compassionate care that respects the dignity of patients and their relatives. Ensuring quality of written and oral handovers to maintain optimal continuity of care between teams. Adapting quickly to different environments and service procedures while maintaining a high level of demand, precision, and efficiency.
This position offers you the opportunity to join recognised multidisciplinary teams, work on varied assignments, and actively contribute to the quality of care provided within a reference institution.
Profile Sought
You hold a nursing diploma recognised in Switzerland or have a valid CRS recognition. Experience in a hospital environment is a significant asset, particularly in high-activity departments or those requiring great adaptability. To succeed in this role, you must have strong technical and interpersonal skills, including:
Mastery of common and specialised nursing care according to the assigned department. Good knowledge of hospital protocols, hygiene rules, safety, and risk prevention. Ability to quickly assess a clinical situation and prioritise actions to be taken. Ease in using tools for monitoring and transmitting care information. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in sometimes demanding contexts.
Your interpersonal skills are equally essential:
You demonstrate excellent adaptability and can integrate quickly into different teams and organisations. You are responsive, available quickly, sometimes within less than 24 hours. You are mobile throughout the canton of Neuchâtel and accept varied shifts, including day, evening, night, and weekend. You work seriously, autonomously, and with a sense of responsibility. You show excellent service, listening, and discretion skills with patients and their relatives. You manage stress calmly and professionally while maintaining great attention to detail and rigour.
If you wish to put your skills to use in varied and rewarding assignments and intervene quickly within a demanding hospital environment, this opportunity is for you.
