A Day in the Life
Medtronic is hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Frontend Advanced Analytics Analyst to join our local IT team. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of production data environments, develop insightful Power BI reports, and maintain a high level of system uptime.
You will work closely with production site teams, backend developers, and super users to drive continuous improvements and deliver value-added insights.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Develop, inspect, mine, transform, and model data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage, eventually conducting statistical analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification.
• Manage all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report building functions of systems, while also maintaining analytical systems, verifying the accuracy of the data, acting as a liaison to the business
• Understand Production Needs and Prioritize Actions, engage with production site teams to gather and analyze business requirements, assess and prioritize these needs based on business impact and plan the development activities of the team, as well as developing and maintaining datasets, ensuring reliable data refreshes and uninterrupted data gateway operations.
• Design, develop, and maintain insightful reports using Power BI, work alongside backend developers on Data Warehouse (DWH) development to optimize data flows and storage, while also collaborating with super users, lead workshops, and facilitating training sessions to ensure efficient report usage and data-driven decision making.
• Write and execute SQL queries to address specific production issues and support troubleshooting reports, provide first-line support for access issues and report-related queries, ensuring timely resolution and executive communication with users.
• Author and maintain Quality Assurance documents to ensure compliance and consistent process quality, update and maintain the Wiki and knowledge base to ensure accurate and current documentation across processes and systems.

Required Knowledge And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics or other scientific addresses, with at least 2 years of experience in business intelligence.
• Experience in Power BI, Python and Spotfire for building reporting solutions, with a strong SQL knowledge desired to collaborate with the backend side of the team.
• Fluency in French and English with detail-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment where precise communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is required.
• Hands-on experience in data management and QA (Quality Assurance) documentation, using version control systems for code (e.g., Git), conducting workshops or training sessions
• Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and other systems used on production sites is a plus.
• Experience in JIRA or equivalent tools for task management.
