I’m currently supporting a search for a Medical Science Liaison – Women’s Cancer to lead regional medical engagement across Baden-Wurttemberg.
The Role
This is a field-based Medical Affairs position focused on building strong scientific partnerships across the women’s cancer landscape. You’ll act as a key medical liaison with regional and national experts, translating scientific insights and regional healthcare dynamics into meaningful medical strategies and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external experts, clinical investigators and study groups within gynecological oncology
- Lead evidence-based scientific discussions with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders
- Develop and execute a proactive regional medical engagement strategy, including digital/omnichannel activities
- Establish and expand a regional scientific network
- Respond to medical and scientific enquiries from healthcare professionals
- Support commercial teams with safety-related matters and complex medical questions
- Initiate and support scientific projects and Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS)
- Organise and deliver regional medical education activities
- Attend relevant congresses and scientific/educational events, representing the organisation within the medical community
Requirements
- University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or Natural Sciences; PhD/doctorate desirable
- Several years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in a field-based Medical Affairs role
- Strong experience and scientific knowledge within oncology and/or gynecological oncology
- Experience supporting product launches
- Good understanding of the healthcare system, pharmaceutical ethics, compliance and relevant regulations
- Strong knowledge of drug development, GCP and applicable industry codes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluent German and English
- Basic financial and budget management experience
- Willingness and flexibility to travel across the region
