The Meister Group is a leading international manufacturer of innovative, custom-engineered superabrasive tools for high-precision grinding applications. Based in the Zurich wine region of Switzerland, with sister companies in the USA, Germany and Italy, we combine extensive expertise with advanced technology, specialising in vitrified-bond diamond and CBN grinding tools.
To strengthen our sales team, we are looking for an experienced, customer-focused professional to join us immediately or by agreement.
Your responsibilities
- Provide in-depth grinding expertise, technical advice, training and support to our end customers and key accounts.
- Analyse customer requirements and develop technical solutions, supporting customers with product enquiries, applications and complex challenges.
- Introduce and establish new product technologies and solutions in the Italian market.
- Maintain and develop existing customer relationships while systematically acquiring new customers.
- Support projects and ensure consistent follow-up, particularly with machine manufacturers, to identify and win new customers at an early stage.
- Continuously optimise customers' processes and develop tailored application solutions.
- Monitor the Italian market and identify market trends, new developments and potential applications.
- Represent our company and products during customer visits, at trade shows and at industry events.
- Take responsibility for achieving agreed revenue and sales targets within your territory.
- Work closely with internal departments, particularly Sales Support, Quality Management, R&D and other technical teams.
- Regularly document customer activities, projects, market insights and sales opportunities.
Your profile
- Technical qualification or degree, ideally in mechanical engineering, production engineering, grinding technology or a related technical field.
- Professional experience in technical sales, application engineering or a comparable industrial environment.
- Sound knowledge of grinding technology and a strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes would be an advantage.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to solving customer-specific challenges.
- A customer-focused, persuasive and dependable personality with strong commercial awareness.
- An independent, structured and solution-oriented approach to work.
- A strong sense of responsibility, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Very good Italian and English language skills; German would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Italy and enthusiasm for working directly with customers.
- A reliable, pragmatic team player with a hands-on approach.
