You will be expected to understand the technical and commercial implications of automation investments and be able to effectively challenge and negotiate with major automation OEMs, system integrators, and specialist technology suppliers. /p h3Automation Category Management /h3 ul liOwn and develop the bAutomation Procurement category strategy /b, aligned with site, manufacturing, engineering, and global procurement objectives. /li liDevelop category plans covering automation equipment, systems, software, services, spare parts, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle support. /li liAnalyze category spend, supplier markets, technology trends, and business requirements to identify sourcing and value-creation opportunities. /li liEstablish appropriate sourcing models, preferred suppliers, framework agreements, and commercial standards. /li liDevelop long-term strategies for automation technology suppliers, including standardization and supplier consolidation where appropriate. /li liIdentify opportunities to optimize btotal cost of ownership (TCO) /b across the automation lifecycle rather than focusing solely on initial purchase price. /li /ul pDemonstrate a strong working understanding of automation technologies and products commonly used in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including where applicable: /p ul libPLC/DCS/SCADA systems /b /li liDistributed control systems and process control platforms /li liPLC hardware, I/O systems, controllers, HMIs, and industrial networks /li libMES and manufacturing automation interfaces /b /li liBuilding management and facility automation systems /li liIndustrial PCs and automation infrastructure /li liRobotics and automated material handling systems /li liProcess instrumentation and control systems /li liDrives, motors, control panels, and electrical automation equipment /li liIndustrial communication protocols and network infrastructure /li liAutomation software, licenses, upgrades, and cybersecurity-related services /li liData historians and production data systems /li liAutomation engineering, system integration, commissioning, and support services /li liSpare parts, obsolescence management, lifecycle support, and modernization programs /li /ul pYou should be able to engage credibly with technical stakeholders and suppliers regarding bproduct specifications, technology choices, system architecture, lifecycle considerations, service models, and commercial implications /b. /p ul liManage strategic relationships with major automation bOEMs, technology vendors, distributors, system integrators, engineering contractors, and specialist service providers /b. /li liDevelop a strong understanding of the relevant automation supplier landscape and technology ecosystem. /li liLead supplier selection and qualification processes for automation projects and ongoing operational requirements. /li liNegotiate pricing, framework agreements, service contracts, software licensing, maintenance agreements, warranties, lead times, payment terms, and other commercial conditions. /li liEstablish and manage preferred supplier agreements and strategic partnerships. /li liConduct supplier performance reviews covering cost, quality, delivery, technical support, responsiveness, and lifecycle support. /li liDevelop strategies to reduce dependency and manage commercial and supply risks associated with single-source OEMs. /li liNegotiate with suppliers on blegacy-system support, technology obsolescence, upgrades, migrations, and end-of-life situations /b. /li /ul h3Pharmaceutical Project Procurement /h3 ul liLead procurement for automation components and systems supporting bCAPEX, facility, manufacturing, process, and technology projects /b. /li liWork with Engineering and Automation teams from the early project-design phase through supplier selection, contracting, delivery, commissioning, and handover. /li liParticipate in technical-commercial evaluations of automation solutions. /li liEnsure procurement strategies account for project timelines, technical requirements, validation requirements, and total lifecycle costs. /li /ul h3About You /h3 p10+ years of experience within roles in Procurement /p pStakeholder (internal/external) management in multinational environment /p pAriba and SAP work experience /p pLanguages: English - fluent, German - Nice to have /p pEducational background: preference for Engineering, Procurement, Supply chain /p pGMP environment - strong advantage /p pYou are available to take up the position at short notice. /p pWe will be transparent and provide support throughout the recruitment process.
