This position will be based at one of our Europe or Middle East locations to enable efficient travel to GCT markets and our regional offices. Join our CardioMetabolic & Respiratory (CARE) Team as we build an industry-leading CARE business and aim to impact cardiovascular disease globally. The Cardiometabolic business is a top corporate priority and a key growth driver. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful patient outcomes within a high-energy, purpose-driven team. Reporting to the Associate Vice President & Global Commercial Lead (GCL) for Atherosclerosis, the Executive Director, International Marketing Lead will drive international launch success and growth of the atherosclerosis franchise, translating global strategy into measurable market execution and performance. The role also provides commercial input into pipeline development to support growth in the space. Responsibilities
Market Engagement: Bridge global strategy and market execution by working with GCT markets, local CFTs, and regional teams to ensure alignment with the global commercial strategy and optimize execution and resource allocation Engage with EUCAN & IC Leadership Teams to build momentum and focus for atherosclerosis launches and portfolio Collaborate with cross-functional partners (CMOs, RCLs, medical, policy, outcomes research, access, advocacy, etc.) to achieve shared objectives Lead routine monthly BUD forum and coordinate regulatory interfaces with BUDs, Franchise Leads of GCT markets, and RCLs to drive cross-market acceleration Represent market needs within global teams (e.g., LEAD, GFLS, V&I) and drive global actions to enable regional and local success; prepare markets for potential future franchise launches (FDCs, CVOT) and anticipated entrants Commercial Execution: Lead launch preparation and ongoing performance using L3 Commercial Way of Working; standardize and customize plans across markets and regions leveraging Global L3Next Refine forecasting assumptions to align with ambition; provide feedback on global guidance and market assumptions to the GCL; lead forecasting alignment with global and markets Ensure international performance consistency and scalability; provide readiness/performance recommendations to GCL and International Leadership Team Act as the primary commercial driver in the market, moving from launch preparation to identifying opportunity spaces in the cardiovascular space HC Ecosystem & Guidelines: Champion workstreams to integrate key products into updated clinical practice guidelines; partner with regional cross-functional teams to establish and enforce new LDL-C Quality Measures and KPIs Clinical Inertia: Lead omnichannel customer experience to generate HCP urgency for early LDL-C treatment; scale patient activation programs to enable proactive conversations about LDL-C targets Access & Payer Landscape: Ensure global pricing translates into affordable, broad and early market access; remove barriers for prescribers Differentiation: Co-create and execute scalable patient-journey acceleration initiatives across markets; drive pre-launch and early adoption Maintain connectivity and awareness of external market dynamics, opportunities, pre-launch KPIs, and actions to maximize patient and business impact Serve as a key member of the Asset Commercialization Team (ACT) and Global Commercial Team (GCT) to shape co-creation between global and GCT markets Leadership Excellence
Forge relationships across the enterprise and become a respected partner across pharma commercial organizations globally, regionally, and locally Coach and mentor franchises colleagues including in GCT Markets and regions (e.g., Franchise lead, RCLs) Adopt new ways of working (AI, Agile, collaboration technologies) and embed analytics into decision making Model action-oriented, collaborative, inclusive behavior and values Collaborate with Global Marketing to invest in development and foster a culture of inclusivity and challenging the status quo to achieve stronger outcomes Education and Experience
Education: Required — Bachelor's Degree; Preferred — Advanced Degree (MBA) Experience and Skills: Minimum of 12 years in local, regional, and/or global commercial functions (marketing, product management, sales, market access) with P&L responsibility; prior regional roles with impact across therapeutic areas or markets; recent international launch experience Influence: Ability to communicate across the enterprise and with senior leadership Change Catalyst: Lead change to achieve strategic priorities Talent Growth: Build and develop diverse teams and foster an inclusive culture Strategic Planning: Analyze complex data to create long-term, customer-centric strategies Entrepreneurship: Understand market dynamics and seize opportunities Proven track record of high-performance launches and driving results Innovation: Leverage innovative approaches to deliver measurable value and encourage experimentation Networking and Partnerships: Strong collaboration across commercial teams and cross-divisional groups including R&D, manufacturing, medical affairs, Outcomes Research, and Access Preferred Experience and Skills
