Your Role:

You will be responsible for the practical development and implementation of cell-based models and screening activities within Discovery Pharmacology. Together with the technical staff of your laboratory, you will establish and run cellular assays used for characterizing pipeline molecules in different phases of preclinical Drug Discovery. These assays will also be employed in High Throughput formats and for phenotypic read-outs. Additionally, you will scout and establish novel predictive cell-based technologies within our organization. You will work as a delegate of Discovery Pharmacology in cross-functional project teams.

Who you are:

• You hold a PhD in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or other Life Sciences disciplines.
• You have practical experience in cell biology and cell-based pharmacology.
• Experience in Industry or Biotech.
• Excellent presentation skills, a good networker, and communicator.
• Experience supervising technical staff.
• Experience in assay development for different drug target classes.
• Experience in compound characterization in higher-throughput formats, using automation and data analysis.
• Fluency in English and German is mandatory.

The position is limited to 2 years.
