Your Role As the Director, Head of Clinical Delivery and Monitoring Unit II, you will oversee the Delivery and Monitoring teams to ensure high‑quality, risk‑based, and efficient delivery of the full clinical portfolio (Phase I–IV, RWE, ISS, and other studies). You will provide strategic and operational oversight, governance representation, and cross‑functional collaboration with GDO, Global Medical Affairs, and CRO partners. You will drive continuous improvement of systems, processes, and performance across GDO/CDPC to optimize study delivery and quality. You will manage a diverse team, ensuring excellent execution of clinical studies and the delivery of Phase I‑IV studies, epidemiology, real‑world evidence studies, and early access programs within the portfolio. You will lead and coordinate a global team of Trial Clinical Delivery Leads (TCDLs), Program Clinical Delivery Leads (PCDLs), and Regional Clinical Delivery Leads (RCDLs) to ensure consistent, high‑quality study execution. You will engage internal partners to ensure seamless trial performance and accountability for delivery outcomes. You will represent the Clinical Delivery team at governance boards, ensuring feasibility and delivery considerations are evaluated and integrated. You will promote cross‑functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to drive best practices in clinical operations. You will travel domestically and internationally as needed to support trial activities, stakeholder alignment, and site visits. This is an office‑based role with locations in the UK (Feltham), Switzerland (All Country), or the US (Billerica). Who You Are A proven leader with 10+ years in clinical research and operations, experienced in managing complex studies and large teams. Demonstrated ability to interpret business challenges, sponsor transformation initiatives, and drive process improvements in clinical operations. Track record of leading and delivering organizational change within clinical delivery, operations, or development functions. Graduate degree in Medical or Life Sciences or a clinically relevant discipline, with deeper expertise in clinical research. At least 5 years of people and resource management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management. Strong leadership capabilities to direct, influence, and motivate diverse teams across functions and geographies. Robust analytical skills to assess risk, solve problems, and inform data‑driven decisions. High cultural awareness and experience working in multicultural, global teams.
