Job DescriptionAs a Benefits Specialist (m/f/d), you will support the administration and delivery of employee benefits, wellbeing programs, and onboarding activities. You will ensure smooth operational execution, serve as a key point of contact for employees and external providers, and contribute to a positive employee experience through reliable and service-oriented support. Your Key Responsibilities:Vendor & Program CoordinationAct as the day-to-day point of contact for external benefit providers (excluding programs which are led by EHS) across Germany, support vendor communication and follow up on operational topicsCoordinating with global C&B and HROPs to coordinate implementation of the global programs locallyAssist in the preparation and coordination of vendor reviews (e.g., annual Company Bike review)Operational Administration & ProcurementCreate and manage purchase orders for benefit programsSupport procurement activities, including preparation of required documentationEnsure timely registration of new employees in benefit systemsEmployee SupportAct as the point of contact for employee questions related to benefitsProvide accurate information and resolve standard issues independentlyEscalate complex cases to relevant stakeholders where neededOnboarding & Welcome ExperienceOrganize, coordinate, and facilitate Welcome Days in HHReview Welcome Day content and suggest updates where neededReview and update onboarding materials to ensure accuracy and relevanceHealth & Wellbeing ActivitiesSupport coordination of wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with EHS (e.g., Health Days, campaigns)Assist in organizing logistics and communication for events such as screenings or vaccination campaignsContinuous Improvement & ProjectsSupport implementation of benefit harmonization initiativesIdentify opportunities to improve processes and employee experienceMaintain accurate documentation of processes and program informationWhat you will bring:Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)First relevant experience in HR operations, administration, or employee services Experience working with external vendors/providers Good understanding of HR processes, particularly benefits Familiarity with procurement or purchase order processes is advantageousAwareness of employee experience and service-oriented HR supportSkillsStrong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detailService-oriented mindset with strong communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyProblem-solving skills with ability to handle standard employee inquiries independentlyGood collaboration skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholdersPeople with severe disabilities and their equivalents will be given preference if they are equally qualified.Required Skills: Compensation Program Design, ERISA Compliance, Expatriate Administration, Financial Research, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Incentive Programs, Job Evaluations, Pension Plan Administration, Performance Appraisal Management, Policy Development, Retirement Plan Administration, Retirement Plan Compliance, Salary Surveys, Teamwork, US Corporate Tax Compliance - InternationalPreferred Skills: Current Employees apply HERECurrent Contingent Workers apply HERESearch Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
