Motivated Chinese-speaking Manager in Accounting

Leading and supporting the accounting team with profound skills in HGB, including cross-border communication in English and Chinese.

The tasks

• Ensuring and developing a fully functional accounting and financial function in line with the company’s growth strategy, including process development, systems, automation, reporting tools, internal control, and organization.
• Responsibility for local statutory reporting requirements, budgeting, tax/VAT compliance, reporting to the headquarters in China, and coordinating local audits based on the Group\’s internal timeline.
• Supporting local management and headquarters in reporting on business activities, transactions, acquisitions, and business cases.
• Assisting employees and managers with questions about finance, accounting, reporting, taxes, and VAT.
• Continuously developing and optimizing internal control procedures and business processes.
• Proactively collaborating with business partners and external service providers, including accountants, banks, insurers, and other partners, ensuring compliance with guidelines and updates.

Your profile

• University degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, or similar.
• Experienced manager with several years of leading and supporting teams through expertise and leadership skills.
• Experience with corporate accounting, reporting, tax, and compliance processes, with a passion for financial reporting.
• High expertise in accounting and finance, especially with local and group reporting (HGB & IFRS).
• Proficiency in MS 365 (PowerPoint & Excel) and financial software like Oracle and ERP tools.
• Experience in the B2C industry is preferred.
• Business fluent in English and Chinese.
• Good team player with management skills, able to lead the accounting department and communicate effectively. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Chinese and German business cultures is a plus.
