Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Active participation in development of the Cx related activities logic and sequencing within Project schedule and Programme. Close coordination with all facets of the Project Team is expected to ensure that all stakeholders (both external & internal) requirements and needs are considered, with cognizance of the contract documentation. Lookahead, breakout, and group workshop planning are essential activities that the Cx Package Manager shall manage/facilitate to ensure that full control on the deliverable is maintained.
  • Undertake a review of the initial and IFC Design package and produce a report with respect to risk and opportunity that presents. Constructability and Commissioning review and planning is essential to ensuring that the deliverable can be sequenced and delivered in the period required with ZERO defects.
  • Shall establish and manage appropriate daily & weekly coordination meetings to meet both the remit of the contract and as appropriate, such as but not limited to:
    • Sub-Contract/Vendor Package Meetings – Daily/Weekly as required per schedule or defined by the Commissioning Manager
    • Whiteboard Meetings/Daily Activity Briefings (DABS)
    • Partake in collaborative planning sessions & Map day’s
    • Lookahead planning
    • Integration Planning
    • Risk Planning
    • Energisation and Safety Briefings
  • Shall attend FWT (Factory Witness testing) by requirement.
  • The Cx Package Manager shall coordinate all aspects of the Cx planning and deliverables in line with the contract requirements and ensure that the owners representatives’ requirements and feedback are taken fully into account prior to any final planning and instruction.
  • The Cx Package Manager shall consider the commercial aspect of any/all planning and decisions Cx Related on the project.
  • The Cx Package Manager shall contribute towards the Project Risk Register (RR) and maintain updates via the Commissioning Manager.
  • The Cx Package Manager shall communicate all formal requests for information via the contract management tool/RFI process to ensure that all matters are auditable and processed in a transparent and timely manner.
  • The Cx Package Manager shall manage the process of compiling, validating, and obtaining appropriate Design approval for their Vendor/Sub-Contractor testing Scripts prior to any testing commenting on the project. No Sub-Contractor/Vendor shall be authorized to test without an approved submittal by the Cx Management/Design Team.
  • Review and comment on their Vendor/Sub-Contractor Cx related RAMS to ensure that the process and procedure set out is in line with project rules and regulation.
  • Shall review the test packs presented by the Sub-Contractor, Vendors in line with design criteria and compliance to ensure that the testing process is fully aligned with expectation i.e. the employer’s requirements, best practice, lessons learned, local and international standards.
  • Shall witness all Testing and Cx activities in the field by the Vendor/Sub-Contractor and report on the same.
  • Shall monitor the construction related activity in conjunction with the Mechanical, Electrical and CSA discipline leads to ensure that there are no gaps in scope, missed opportunity or risk to programme based on variance.
  • Shall coordinate with the Integration Team to ensure that the natural crossover/handoff in programme and deliverables are captured, for any early handover scope elements of the project.
  • Shall make themselves aware of and familiar with the Mercury Way, SharePoint, Mercury Experience, BIM360 and Compass and all other interface/repositories used on the project as soon as possible. Training shall be provided where required.
  • Shall keep a daily diary and issue a weekly report (Format to be agreed by Cx Manager). The reporting shall feed into the weekly Cx Management report and planning team updates.
  • Shall fully coordinate the Cx Process and Activities by the vendor/Sub-Contractor with other relevant vendors and interface points on the project.
  • Shall coordinate and be responsible for the delivery of turnover packs for the Vendor/Sub-Contractor at each Level of the Project Cx Tagging Process.
  • Shall be responsible for the management of the Cx/QA process embedded within the Project Tagging procedure. Shall ensure quality and relevant quality performance is tracked and recorded in the weekly vendor/Sub-Contractor meetings.
  • The Cx Package Manager shall administer vendor/Sub-Contractor documentation within the Automated Commissioning Management System (ACxMS). Training shall be furnished to the Cx Manager at the On-Boarding stage. This will include monitoring of, review and verification of the vendor/Sub-Contractor documentation at each stage of the Cx Tagging Process.
  • The Cx Package Manager shall conduct safety audits on the project and feedback to the project EHS lead. Contribution to the company Safety Management System is key to ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of our people on each project site.
  • Manage the Hanover process to client/client representative including O&M, As installed, digital Id etc. in a timely manner (Project Specific).
