Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Liaise and co-ordinate with members of the client’s team.
- Attend technical / project meetings in person and via teams calls.
- Assist with the preparation of technical documentation for issue of tender, construction and handover.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Ensure consistency in outputs and adherence to project schedules.
- Monitor project progress, managing risks, dependencies, and changes.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage and drive a team to achieve project requirements and deadlines.
- Identify skill gaps and support hiring or outsourcing needs.
- Foster collaboration between design, construction, planning and all related departments.
- Capture learnings and improve design delivery processes.
- Maintain documentation for projects, standards, and workflows.
- Liaising with clients, insurance companies, consultants and contractors.
- Providing a leadership support function to teams and motivating staff to achieve production goals.
- Participate in meetings and provide continual input to optimize design and procedures.
- Manage and procure equipment and material based off design requirements.
Essential Criteria for the Role
- Relevant Engineering qualification or in Project Management.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in datacentre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or large industrial construction plants.
- Competent working knowledge of applicable standards
- Ability to read and effectively interpret architectural/engineering plans, schematics, design drawings, etc.
- Experience in working on UK, Irish or European projects.
- Experience working with sub-contractors, consultants and suppliers.
- Must be responsible, pay attention to detail personable, data-driven, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with solid organisation and time management skills that lead to timely completion of projects
- Management of Project Schedule.
- Deep understanding of design processes and workflows.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Leadership and team facilitation
- Problem-solving and decision-making.
- Attention to detail and quality focus.
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Act as a link between design and operations managers across projects.
- Proficient at communication & written English.
- Hands on experience managing teams.
- Exposure to mentoring junior project managers and design engineers.
- Knowledge of Autodesk ACC or similar will be an added advantage
- Experience managing projects in the fire protection sector.
- Experience in delivering large-scale or complex projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills.
