(Senior) Manager Business Development Analysis (m/f/d)

Join our motivated team in Business Strategy and Portfolio Innovation and grow with exciting challenges. As the (Senior) Manager Business Development Analysis (m/f/d) you will be responsible for driving strategic decision-making by integrating scientific and commercial insights, identifying partnership opportunities, and enhancing Merz’s visibility in key therapeutic areas. This will include the following activities:

• Interact as a thought partner with BD&S colleagues, R&D, Commercial and other groups, providing timely data, analysis and informed scientific and business viewpoints
• Lead analytic evaluations to assess BD opportunities, including strategic modeling, competitor analysis, disease landscaping, and financial forecasting, in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and external experts
• Generate disease area and market reviews and business insights to support a well-defined search strategy to be then used by search colleagues to identify potential partners
• Acquire and use data, information and business intelligence, utilizing industry reports, databases and attendance at external conferences
• Preparation of presentations, reports and other deliverables to facilitate well-informed decision making
• Represent and present Merz externally at conferences as needed.Build an industry awareness of areas of Merz strategic interest

YOUR PROFILE

• Successful completed university degree in natural sciences and/or economics
• MBA or other relevant graduate degree is an advantage
• 5+ years experience in biopharma industry including investment banking, venture capital or consulting
• Experience in a health care scientific role such as medical or research
• Expertise in forecasting, industry databases, and drug development within biopharma
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Deep knowledge of drug development and biopharma partnerships
• Excellent communicator with global, cross-cultural collaboration experience
