Senior Product Manager - IoT Submetering & PropTech (m/f/x)

CO2 emissions in the real estate sector must be reduced quickly. But what is not measured cannot be controlled in a targeted manner: Our live data on consumption and generation in properties enables the most effective use of electricity, gas, heat and water in everyday life.
We are a young Berlin scale-up that supports sustainability and also lives it in our day-to-day business. We arelooking for a Senior Product Manager - IoT Submetering & PropTech (m/f/x) in Berlin or Heidelberg at the earliest possible date.

Responsibilities

In your role as Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for a product or product family throughout its entire lifecycle — from the initial idea to successful operation in the market. You will bridge the worlds of the digital housing industry (submetering) and smart metering:

• You are responsible for the strategic and operational management of our IoT submetering portfolio (heat, water, gas, “Digital Apartment”, “Digital Basement”).
• You develop our solutions for digital remote meter reading in compliance with legal requirements.
• You design the architecture for the automated transmission of meter data via stationary gateways.
• You create integration solutions for local energy management systems to link the control of consumption and generation systems.
• You work closely with Development, Operations, and Sales to translate complex regulatory and technical requirements into concrete specifications.
• You identify new digital services and business areas through the continuous analysis of regulatory trends in the real estate and energy industries.

Profile

• You have successfully completed a degree in (Industrial) Engineering, (Business) Computer Science, Mathematics/Physics or a comparable qualification and have a strong affinity for data and technology.
• You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in product management, preferably in the fields of smart metering, IoT hardware/software, the energy sector, or the real estate industry.
• You have a solid understanding of wireless technologies and common reception methods.
• You have initial experience or already possess in-depth knowledge of the smart meter gateway (SMGW) as a central communication unit.
• You are characterized by a structured, process-oriented, and disciplined—yet pragmatic—approach to your work.
• You are comfortable with active stakeholder management and have an agile mindset.
• You are fluent in German and have very good written and spoken English skills.
