Job Description

As a PMO Expert for Supply Chain Management projects at METRO, you will be central to driving strategic initiatives through effective planning, coordination, and execution. You will serve as a key contact for PMO topics, supporting internal teams and external partners to ensure project success and alignment with business goals. Your role involves managing timelines, risks, stakeholder communication, and ensuring project governance and documentation to optimize processes and improve global supply chain operations.

• Act as the primary contact for all PMO-related topics within supply chain projects, liaising with stakeholders and partners
• Support strategic and operational projects, ensuring structured execution and adherence to timelines and quality standards
• Coordinate and steer PMO activities across multiple workstreams to foster alignment and efficiency
• Monitor progress, identify risks or bottlenecks, and facilitate problem resolution
• Ensure transparent communication through regular reporting and documentation
• Maintain project governance structures, tools, and templates for consistency

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or related field
• Proven experience in PMO roles with knowledge of project management standards
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
• High initiative, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills
• Project Management certification (e.g., Prince2) is advantageous
• Experience with Dynamics 365 or similar IT systems is a plus
• Fluent in English; German skills are a plus
