IT Resilience & Business Continuity Manager (m / f / d)

At METRO, we operate in a dynamic digital ecosystem in which resilience is of great importance. We are looking for an IT Resilience & Business Continuity Manager to strengthen our business continuity, disaster recovery (BC / DR), and IT resilience strategies to protect our key services and restrict disruptions in our business across the world.

As our IT Resilience & Business Continuity Manager, you would be responsible for designing and managing a comprehensive continuity and disaster recovery system to put METRO\’s IT and business processes in a state of readiness in anticipation of potential disruptions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain METRO’s Business Continuity & IT Disaster Recovery (BC / DR) strategy, ensuring compliance with e.g. ISO 22301, ITIL, and other industry standards.
• Lead IT resilience planning, including backup strategies, crisis simulations, and recovery drills.
• Enforce and improve IT service continuity management (ITSCM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) policies.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and business leaders to integrate resilience into IT architecture and operations.
• Regularly test disaster recovery and business continuity plans through tabletop exercises and real-world simulations.
• Prepare and present reports, metrics, and recommendations to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Keep METRO ahead of emerging threats, regulations, and industry best practices in IT resilience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT business continuity, resilience, or disaster recovery experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 22301, ITIL Continuity of Service, NIST, and resilience frameworks for business operations.
• Proven history of developing, testing, and refining BC / DR plans in a large enterprise setup.
• Familiarity with security groups, IT infrastructure, and cloud providers to carry out resilience strategies.
• Strong project management skills to handle continuity programs in geographically distributed teams.
• Certifications such as CBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, ITIL Service Continuity, or CISSP would be useful.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Fluency in English is required.
