As an e-commerce Marketplace, Metro Markets GmbH works with hundreds of Vendors (suppliers) within Germany, Europe, and beyond, managing thousands of products to deliver on our customer’s needs while providing great service.

We are currently seeking an exceptional Operations Project Manager to join our Operations team at our Düsseldorf office. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment alongside a passionate and skilled team.

WHAT YOU\’LL DO:

As an Operations Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across our logistics e-commerce operations. Within the first 3–6 months, you will contribute to strategic initiatives such as:

• Supporting the implementation of new system functionalities.
• Collaborating with our European warehouse locations to streamline and optimize processes.
• Assisting in the development and standardization of logistics practices for our e-commerce operations, including health and safety focus.

Some of your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: leading international operations projects across Europe, conducting end-to-end process diagnostics to identify improvement opportunities, driving lean transformations to reduce complexity and operational costs, managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders to deliver impactful changes within our warehouse operations, and contributing to METRO Markets’ growth by managing logistics projects that support expansion into new regions.

You\’ve got

• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in implementing Health & Safety procedures within comparable operational environments (ideally).
• 1.5+ years of Business / Logistics / Supply chain experience in a commercial environment.
• Proven ability to manage interdisciplinary projects in an international environment.
• Good communication skills (managing internal and external stakeholders) and the ability to build solid working relationships with colleagues, senior leadership, and third parties.
• Proven ability to deploy process improvements to Operations shop floor.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, Italian, or German is a plus.
• Experience in eCommerce Operations (ideally).
• Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt (ideally).
