About Our Client

Our client is a leading international organisation operating in a fast-paced and innovative industry. Due to a temporary absence within the finance team, they are seeking an Interim Accountant for an initial 4-8 month assignment with an immediate start and potential longer-term opportunities.

Job Description

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for German legal entities
• Perform month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare statutory financial statements under HGB
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors
• Execute bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
• Maintain fixed asset accounting records
• Manage invoicing activities and cost allocations
• Ensure accurate general ledger accounting
• Support the setup and accounting requirements of new legal entities
• Collaborate with international finance stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

• 2-5 years of accounting experience within Germany-focused finance functions
• Native German speaker with fluent business English
• Strong knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB)
• Experience with month-end close and statutory reporting
• Exposure to audits is highly desirable
• Hands-on, proactive and ownership-driven mindset
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively within an international environment
