Overview
As a Data Governance Analyst, you will help build enterprise-wide data governance and quality initiatives within a regulated financial services setting. You will collaborate with data stewards, business and tech teams to implement governance frameworks and improve data management. You’ll analyze data for trends, produce insights, and drive remediation through cross-functional coordination. This long-term, visibility-heavy role offers stakeholder exposure and a chance to shape the client’s data governance capabilities.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Collaborate with data stewards, business stakeholders and technical teams to address data challenges and support solution delivery
- Support development and adoption of data governance frameworks, policies and standards aligned with objectives
- Contribute to data quality initiatives by identifying gaps and tracking remediation
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and prepare reports/dashboards for stakeholders
- Coordinate data-related initiatives including data cleansing, process improvements and tool implementations
- Maintain and update documentation of data processes, workflows and best practices
- Support management reporting and data-driven insights
- Identify data management risks and recommend mitigation measures
- Utilise digital tools and automation to improve governance, management and quality
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in data governance
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information management, computer science or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Data Analytics, or similar in financial services or highly regulated environment
- Practical experience as Data Steward, Data Owner, Data Governance professional, or on data-focused consulting engagements
- Strong understanding of Data Governance frameworks, Data Quality principles, and Data Management best practices
- Very good writing skills in English
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders
- Excellent team player
- Professional certification in data governance or data management (e.g., CMDB) preferred
