Junior Legal Counsel in Genève

Overview

In this Legal role, you provide advisory support on Swiss banking, financial services, AML and regulatory matters, partnering with business and control functions. You will draft and negotiate a range of contracts, handle regulatory inquiries, and monitor evolving requirements to support cross-border and strategic initiatives. The role offers exposure to complex regulatory and contractual matters within a well-established Swiss bank. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive compliant, efficient solutions.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Provide legal advice on Swiss banking, financial services, AML and regulatory matters with cross-functional collaboration
• Review, draft and negotiate client, outsourcing, IT, vendor and confidentiality agreements
• Handle regulatory, judicial and administrative requests and support SAR/MROS filings, investigations and regulatory inquiries
• Monitor regulatory developments and assist with implementing new requirements, policies and procedures
• Support litigation, sanctions, cross-border matters and strategic legal transformation initiatives

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Master's degree in Swiss Law
• Swiss Bar admission is a plus
• < 2 years of experience in a Swiss law firm, private bank or regulated financial institution
• Fluent in French and English; German and/or Italian is a plus
• Analytical, pragmatic and detail-oriented with good judgement and discretion
