Overview
In this role, you will oversee credit risk for a global metals trading business from Geneva. You will perform in-depth credit analyses, set and monitor limits, and support commercial activities with timely risk insights. You will work closely with traders and external counterparties, driving sound risk decisions in a fast-paced, international environment. You will help shape the credit risk framework and participate in strategic initiatives to strengthen risk controls and reporting.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Conduct detailed credit analyses and recommend counterparty/transaction outcomes
- Monitor global credit events, industry developments and market trends affecting Metals
- Perform periodic credit reviews, assign internal ratings and limits
- Oversee portfolio exposures and daily credit risk reporting
- Ensure effective limit monitoring, breach escalation, margining and risk mitigation
- Manage and maintain credit insurance policies
- Participate in strategic Credit Risk projects and initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships with counterparties, banks, and financial institutions
- Collaborate with traders to provide ongoing credit support for commercial activities
- Maintain accurate credit records and documentation
- Support transaction execution by reviewing/negotiating credit-related contractual clauses
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Credit Risk/ Credit Analysis or similar role
- Strong metals trading sector experience
- Excellent financial analysis and credit assessment capabilities
- Solid understanding of credit risk management, banking practices and control frameworks
- Ability to analyse complex financial statements and corporate structures
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced trading environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities and deadlines
- Fluent English; Spanish language skills considered a plus
