Senior Risk Manager - Oil & Gas in Genève

Overview

In this role you will shape and oversee the market risk framework across physical and paper portfolios, ensuring robust risk controls for price, FX and rate exposures. You will work closely with traders and cross-functional teams to monitor P&L, VaR and limits, escalates breaches, and provide actionable risk reporting to senior leadership. You will also manage counterparty risk, contribute to hedging strategies and drive CTRM, stress testing and regulatory compliance initiatives in a high-growth energy trading environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Design, implement and continuously improve the market risk framework across physical and paper portfolios
• Monitor daily P&L, positions, VaR, Greeks and exposure limits; escalate breaches with clear analysis
• Produce risk reporting for the CFO, COO and Risk Committee with actionable recommendations
• Manage counterparty and credit risk: scoring, credit limits, collateral and margin calls
• Contribute to hedging strategy design and optimisation in close collaboration with traders
• Drive cross-functional projects: CTRM implementation, stress testing, regulatory compliance

Zentrale Anforderungen

• 7+ years of risk management experience in commodities with mandatory exposure to oil markets
• Strong command of energy derivatives (futures, swaps, options) and physical trading mechanics
• Expertise in VaR methodologies, stress testing, risk limits frameworks and collateral management
• Hands-on experience with CTRM platforms (Openlink, Triple Point, Brady or equivalent)
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL and Excel for quantitative analysis and automation
• Fluent English; French is a plus
