Overview
In this role you will define and drive the sourcing strategy for metal components, partnering with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets. You will manage an international supplier base and lead negotiations, contracts, and supplier development. You will support new product development and industrialization from a procurement perspective while mitigating supply risks. This is an opportunity to shape procurement performance in a technology-driven, international environment with cross-functional collaboration.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Define and implement the sourcing strategy for metal components
- Manage and develop an international supplier portfolio to ensure competitiveness, quality and on-time delivery
- Lead supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations and contract management
- Drive cost reduction, value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project teams across the product lifecycle
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions
- Support new product development and industrialization projects from procurement perspective
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in strategic procurement of metal components
- Experience with castings, forgings, machined parts or fabricated metal components
- Experience in demanding industrial sectors such as aerospace, automotive, railway or advanced manufacturing
- Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier management
- Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus
