Overview
In this role you will lead Swiss payroll operations for an international environment and own complex payroll topics. You will collaborate with Finance, HR and external providers to ensure accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing. You’ll drive improvements in payroll processes, data quality and system use while supporting international payroll initiatives. You will act as a trusted contact for payroll queries and contribute to automation and standardisation. This is a hands-on, autonomy-enabled opportunity to shape Swiss payroll while interacting across functions.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Manage Swiss payroll activities ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Review and validate payroll data including changes, variable pay, deductions and absences
- Ensure compliance with Swiss legal, tax and social security requirements
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve complex payroll queries
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers
- Perform payroll controls, reconciliations and data validation
- Support payroll-related accounting activities and investigate discrepancies
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Contribute to payroll/HR systems projects including testing and data validation
- Participate in optimizing and documenting payroll processes and controls
- Provide guidance on payroll topics to internal stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement, standardisation and automation of payroll processes
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Several years of experience in Swiss payroll, HR operations or related field
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Swiss payroll processes and regulations
- Good understanding of Swiss social security, taxation and employment requirements
- Exposure to international or multi-country payroll environments (advantage)
- Experience with payroll controls, reconciliations and payroll-related financial processes
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills with large datasets
- Experience with payroll and/or HR information systems
- Attention to detail and structured problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with HR, Finance and external partners
- Discretion handling confidential information
- Fluency in English and French
- Exposure to payroll transformation or HR technology projects (advantage)
