Payroll Expert 80-100% (M/F/X)

Overview In this role you will act as the expert for Payroll, C B, social insurance, time management and workforce cost analysis within HR Operations. You will oversee end-to-end payroll processing in line with Swiss legislation and internal policies, while driving process improvements and digitalisation. You will analyze compensation data, support pay equity, and contribute to workforce planning and management reporting. You will collaborate across HR, Finance and external partners to ensure compliant, data-driven decisions and successful HR transformation initiatives. Verantwortungsbereiche Oversee end-to-end payroll cycle ensuring accurate, compliant processing under Swiss law and collective agreements Coordinate Swiss social insurance, withholding tax, salary certificates, statutory declarations and year-end activities Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on processes and policies Ensure consistency between time/attendance and payroll data; manage system configurations and complex cases Ensure compliance with SLAs, internal controls, data protection and confidentiality Prepare and support audits; identify risks and propose corrective actions Conduct compensation analyses, market benchmarks and contribute to salary structures, variable pay and benefits Support pay equity initiatives and provide compensation data and analysis Prepare salary review simulations and assess financial impact of raises, promotions, bonuses Contribute to workforce planning, headcount forecasting and personnel cost budgeting Produce HR and financial KPIs, dashboards and management reports; provide decision-support Perform reconciliations between HR, payroll and accounting data; support monthly/annual closings Participate in HR transformation, digitalisation and automation projects; develop data-driven solutions Liaise with social insurance institutions, pension funds, insurers and public authorities Support and train HR teams and key users; maintain documentation and promote best practices Zentrale Anforderungen 5-8 years of relevant experience in a complex payroll environment Strong knowledge of Swiss social insurance, payroll taxation and employment regulations Experience with HR reporting, workforce cost controlling and C intermediate English; German is a plus analytical thinking accuracy and attention to detail sound judgement HRIS systems Power BI Advanced Excel
