Job Description
In this role, you take responsibility for ongoing accounting and actively contribute to the quality and reliability of financial data. Your main tasks include in particular:
- Responsibility for the entire process of accounts payable and receivable invoices - from processing to correct accounting entry - Ongoing monitoring of receivables, including dunning, resolving discrepancies as well as handling disputes and collection issues - Review of expense reports as well as control and validation of the T&E process - Preparation of weekly or monthly payment runs for internal approval - Preparation of VAT returns and ensuring compliance with the relevant tax obligations - Management of fixed assets, including ongoing updates and correct balance sheet recording - Active participation in monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements: creation of postings, account reconciliations, variance analysis and support of reporting - Daily control of accounting flows and ensuring clean data quality, especially by checking the information provided by the SSC and correcting any errors - Support in sales analyses and internal evaluations to ensure reliable reporting according to CO and IFRS - Close cooperation with internal contacts and the SSC to continuously ensure efficient and high-quality accounting processes - Participation in the planned SAP migration to S/4HANA, especially in testing, process adjustments or system environment - depending on project progress
Profile
- Completed training or degree in accounting / finance - Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally 3 to 5 years in a comparable role - Sound knowledge of IFRS accounting - Very good German skills (at least C1), mandatory; good English skills in a professional environment - Rapid availability is an advantage - High IT affinity and enjoyment in working with systems; SAP knowledge is a plus - Strong numerical affinity as well as confident handling of accounting controls and analyses - Structured, reliable and independent working style with a good sense of priorities - Interest in structured processes and motivation to actively contribute to continuous improvement of workflows and quality assurance in the finance area
