h3About Our Client /h3 /brpFor our client, an oil trading company, we are currently looking for : /p /brh3A trade Cost control officer /h3 /brh3Job Description /h3 /brh3Trade Capture Verification /h3 /brul /brliRecord all confirmed trades (physical cargoes, paper/derivative positions) into the trading system (ETRM) accurately and on time /li /brliMatch trade tickets against broker confirmations, contracts, and counterparty confirmations /li /brliFlag and resolve discrepancies between the front office (traders) and the deal entered in the system /li /br /ul /brh3Expense Cost Control /h3 /brul /brliCollect and verify all trade-related invoices: freight, demurrage, port charges, storage, inspection, insurance, financing/interest costs /li /brliCheck invoices against contractual terms (charter party, storage agreement, letters of credit) before approval /li /brliEnsure costs are allocated to the correct trade/cargo/deal for accurate PL attribution /li /br /ul /brh3Reconciliation /h3 /brul /brliReconcile trade positions, inventory movements, and costs between the ETRM/trading system and internal records /li /brliReconcile counterparty statements, bank confirmations, and letters of credit against internal trade records /li /brliInvestigate and resolve breaks before month-end close /li /br /ul /brh3Handover to Accounting Firm /h3 /brul /brliPrepare and package verified trade and expense data (supporting documentation, invoices, contracts) for the external accounting firm /li /brliAct as the point of contact for the accounting firm on queries related to trade data, invoices, or cost allocation /li /brliMaintain an audit trail for every transaction and cost item submitted /li /br /ul /brh3Compliance Controls /h3 /brul /brliEnsure trades and costs comply with internal risk limits, credit approvals, and company policy /li /brliSupport internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations /li /brliIdentify and elevate control weaknesses or process gaps /li /br /ul /brh3The Successful Applicant /h3 /brh3Experience /h3 /brul /brli10+ years in trade support, middle office, or finance operations within an oil trading company (physical and/or paper crude/products trading) /li /brliStrong, hands-on experience with ETRM systems /li /brliDeep familiarity with physical oil trade documentation: bills of lading, charter parties, letters of credit, quality/quantity certificates /li /brliGood accounting understanding, including how trade and cost postings flow into journal entries, PL, and balance sheet, sufficient to liaise credibly with the accounting firm /li /br /ul /brh3Skills /h3 /brul /brliStrong attention to detail and comfort reconciling large volumes of transactional data /li /brliSolid understanding of trade lifecycle (deal capture logistics invoicing settlement) and of the underlying accounting entries it generates /li /brliWorking knowledge of accounting principles and month-end close processes (accruals, provisions, cost allocation) as they apply to commodity trading /li /brliAdvanced Excel skills; comfort with ERP/accounting software interfaces /li /brliClear communicator able to work with traders, operations, logistics, and external accountants /li /br /ul /brh3What's on Offer /h3 /brpA permanent role in a medium size oil trading company /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
