Legal & Paralegal Expertise (60%)
Arbitration Experience: Previous experience in supporting international arbitration cases under institutions such as ICSID, ICC, or PCA, including file maintenance, submissions, and hearing preparation.
Hearing & Filing Support: Skilled in preparing electronic and physical bundles, formatting and cite-checking submissions, liaising with tribunals and opposing counsel, and supporting legal teams in real-time during hearings.
Workflow & Case Management: Strong organizational skills in managing deadlines, document control systems, and coordinating with internal support teams across international offices.
Client Interaction: Able to act as liaison for clients during active matters, with a professional and composed demeanor under pressure.
Marketing & Business Development Support (40%)
Content Creation & Thought Leadership: Assists with drafting and proofreading articles, journal submissions, book chapters, and internal publications, ensuring alignment with the firm\’s branding and quality standards.
Event & Campaign Coordination: Supports the planning and execution of arbitration-related events, webinars, and client seminars, including logistics, marketing material preparation, and follow-up communications.
Research & CRM: Conducts targeted research on legal market trends, client prospects, jurisdiction updates, and practice group positioning. Supports database updates and tracking of marketing initiatives.
Presentation & Pitch Support: Helps prepare tailored PowerPoint decks, capability statements, and submission materials for rankings, directories, and legal awards.
Profile
Bachelor/Master\’s degree in Law, a paralegal certification or legal studies background is essential; marketing experience or training is highly valued.
2-5 years of experience in an international legal environment, ideally in a dual-capacity role or across both paralegal and marketing functions.
Fluent in English (spoken and written); French highly desirable.
Tech-savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and PowerPoint), and comfortable with legal document platforms.
Strong writing, multitasking, and interpersonal skills; capable of managing priorities across two dynamic practice areas.
