Export Compliance Officer – Breman/Germany – Excellent Salary and Benefits

Our customer is looking for an Export Compliance Officer to join their Legal & Compliance department. You will be joining this amazing Company which is pivotal in providing high-tech space solutions to European space programs. Ideally you will speak English and have a good level of German.
On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and comprehensive benefits package. You will be required to work from the premises 2-3 days a week. Our customer will provide relocation support.
Responsibilities

• Carrying out the necessary export control activities nationally (preliminary inquiries, individual license applications, submitting and processing collective export license applications) as well as internationally (US-ITAR/EAR).
• Identify training needs, participate in export control training.
• Responsible for the implementation of legal and internal export control requirements in the organisation.
• Analysis of the processes with regard to export control regulations (national, EU, US-ITAR/EAR), as well as the introduction of specifications into the processes with the local process owners.
• Creation and maintenance of process instructions and manuals
• Support with export classification of goods and documents according to DE/EU/US guidelines in collaboration with the specialist departments.
• Creation of end user documents.
• Determining relevant requirements for the project and specialist departments, reviewing contracts with regard to export control issues in collaboration with the contract department.
• Foreign trade law examination of the approval requirement for technology transfer, exports, transfers and services in accordance with the applicable legal regulations for foreign trade.

Skills & Experience

• Study in the field of business administration or training in the field of logistics or comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in the area of export control / export compliance.
• Experience in US (RE) export control.
• Communicative team player.
• Proactively identify and manage export control risks.
• Ability to translate regulations and policies into practical operational processes and solutions.
• Experience in analyzing existing processes and developing optimization measures.
• Structured way of working that is characterized by self-motivation and goal orientation.
• Fluent German and English.
